About Us

We are a BIPOC led community of students dedicated to creating and preserving safe identity-based club spaces for students in grades 6-12. We advocate for educational diversity in and outside of the classroom by providing curricula, offering free consultations, and hosting events. Launching The National Black Students Alliance in 2020, we now have 4 affinity-based groups, and counting! Each of us has a different reason for being a part of Affinity Spaces for Change, but we share the same passion for ensuring that BIPOC students have a chance to thrive in their education.

Our Team

Our Story

In 2020, a group of students, Skye, Lourdes, Amy, Belane, and Yvette started a collective, The National Black Students Alliance to bring together Black students facing similar injustices at predominantly white institutions across the United States.

Over the years, we have developed to work with an even wider range of students, teachers, administrators, and parents to spread the importance of safe spaces in and outside of the classroom. Led by students, for students, we work to problem-solve, support, and enhance the educational experiences of those in classrooms everywhere.
